Migration Process
Create a Khos account
Sign up for Khos using your existing email address. This will be where your aliases forward to. Choose the plan that suits your needs.
Create AccountExport data from your current service
Most email aliasing services allow you to export your alias data. Here's how to export from popular services:
From SimpleLogin
- Go to Settings >> Data Export
- Click "Export Aliases"
- Save the downloaded CSV file
From AnonAddy
- Go to Settings >> Export Data
- Click "Export Aliases"
- Save the downloaded CSV file
From Firefox Relay
- Go to Settings >> Data
- Click "Export My Data"
- Save the downloaded JSON file
Import your aliases to Khos
Our migration tool makes it easy to import your existing aliases:
- Log in to your Khos account
- Go to Settings >> Migration
- Select "Import Aliases"
- Choose your previous provider from the dropdown
- Upload your exported file
- Review and confirm the aliases you want to import
Note: During migration, both your old service and Khos will work simultaneously, allowing you to transition gradually without disruption.
Update your services
Once your aliases are imported, you'll need to update the email address for your most important services:
- For critical services (banking, work, etc.), log in and update your email address to your new Khos alias
- For less critical services, you can update them gradually over time
- Use our service tracker to keep track of which services you've updated
Cancel your old service
Once you've fully migrated to Khos and confirmed everything is working correctly, you can safely cancel your old email aliasing service.
Pro tip: We recommend keeping both services active for at least 30 days to ensure a smooth transition and catch any missed emails.
